The Amalfi Coast Airport wll open in July 2024.
It’s still a work in progress until the full operation in 2026/2027 with an estimate of 4 million passengers per year.
Actually the first scheduled flight is at 6:30am on July 11th from Nantes. Then air connections will be added from Milan, Verona, Sardinia (Cagliari) and Sicily (Catania), Swiss (Basel and Geneve), Germany (Berlin) and UK (London)
The opening of the Salerno Amalfi Coast airport has been awaited for many years and if good communication will be made by the media and tourism operators it will be an opportunity for the development of lesser-known areas: as the city of Salerno, Coast of Cilento, and also the other places on the Amalfi Coast, like Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori and Minori.
